  4. These girls playing the role of Carrie did nothing for the series. They were wooden in their speaking, stiff and unnatural. We can certainly understand why their acting careers didn't take off. One can only wonder how they were chosen, if there was an audition.

    2. Look, Shirley Temple worked her braids off to dance and get roles! The twins had entitlement issues as they just strode into the casting call with their barbie car and crayons and got the role.....

      (just kidding)

  12. I have know for some time the part was played by twins. I want to thank you both Lindsay & Sidney for your part Internet " Little House" series. Without the least in the show it would not have portrayed as well a family dianamic. You both gave a sense of a true pioneer Family & how families adjusted in older times with older children & younger ones. Also made fun to see the responses from time to time if Carrie's smiles & laughs as she enteracted wiithbher family.
Was actually watching 2 re-runs tonight, just feeling the joy of a good family show, without violence and crude language. Thank you both ladies. It is also great to see you went on to lead good productive lives instead of getting lost in the drug & alcohol scene or just being so big that you don't know or relate to normal people. Sending blessings to you both & Merry Christmas!

  16. I love LHoTP. Still do, watching an episode now where Charles loses all his wheat and has to take a blasting job 100 miles away. Episode called The 100 Mile Walk! I liked little Carrie. She did cute things from time to time and was a cute little girl. However, the thing that bothered me most was the fact is I bet Carrie didn't say 100 words from the start to finish of the entire show!! I never understood that. As Carrie grew older on the show like the other girls did you would think she would start talking and getting storylines. That never happened. Other girls her age appeared on the show, with speaking parts and storylines. Even one of the girls Charles and Caroline later adopted was Carrie's age and very often had somewhat of a storyline or a few. Her brother was Jason Bateman. I remember the show where their older uncle comes to visit the children at the little house then suddenly decides he wants them. But before that he takes them all over the place, has discussions with them, especially the little girl. This was a major storyline for the little girl Charles and Caroline adopted. The judge awards custody to the old man and the little girl runs away. They find her and she tells the old man she hates him that he lied to them. A great little acting scene for a girl her age. Actually she did a great job in that whole storyline. Then in another episode when Charles first brings the kids home after their parents were killed and he and Caroline feel they cannot adopt them themselves, he finds new parents for them. To make a long story short-the entire episode is about these two kids. The kids end up running away because of the mistreatment of her brother. He gets caught in trappers trap. The little girl has to go for help. Finds Charles. All ends up well. Charles and Caroline keep the two children! This newly adopted daughter always has numerous lines throughtout each episode, even things happen at school that she is part of. Now supposedly this new girl is the same age as Carrie!!! But you don't see interaction with Carrie and the other kids or teacher at school, you don't see Carrie telling stories around the breakfast or dinner table! What is going on here with Sidney and Lindsey Greenbush - why no speaking roles, why no storylines? And don't even get me started on Alisha that Mr Edwards adopted. Big storylines and speaking parts there and again basically the same age as Carrie!!! What was wrong with giving these twins parts as they got older instead of giving speaking parts and storylines to the new girl in the family the same age as Carrie???!!! Seriously, was something wrong with the twins that Michael Landon didn't want to have them speak or give them storylines. Was it a parental thing on the twins part??? I am just so curious as to why Carrie didn't speak or have any storylines as she grew up!!
