Priscilla began her acting career in 1975 by appearing in an episode of "Columbo" also ironically, as a nurse. When she joined the "Three's Company" cast, in addition to being the new roommate she was also a nurse. In 1976, she took acting lessons from coaching great Sal Dano who also taught Tom Sellick, Joe Lara, Catherine Bach of "Dukes of Hazzard" fame, Robert Hays, and Timothy Patrick. This was the same time that "Three's Company" was just getting underway.

Barnes went on to appear in many TV shows and movies including "Cannon" with William Conrad (1976); "Beyond Reason" starring Telly Savalas, Diana Muldaur and Marvin Laird (1977); "The Rockford Files" starring James Garner, Noah Beery Jr. and Joe Santos (1977); "Starsky and Hutch" starring David Soul, Paul Michael Glaser and Bernie Hamilton (1978); "Kojak" starring Telly Savalas, Dan Frazer and Kevin Dobson (1978); "Texas Detour" (1978); "A Vacation in Hell" co-starring Barbara Feldon, Maureen McCormick, and Andrea Marcovicci (1979);"The Last Married Couple in America" co-starring George Segal, Natalie Wood, Valerie Harper, and Richard Benjamin (1980); "Taxi" starring Judd Hirsch, Jeff Conaway, Tony Danza, Danny DeVito, and Christopher Lloyd (1980); "Sunday Lovers" Roger Moore, Lino Ventura and Ugo Tognazzi (1980); "Vega$" starring Robert Urich, Bart Braverman and Phyllis Davis (1980); "Scruples" co-starring Jessica Biscardi, Sean Allan (1981); "The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch" co-starring Lee Horsley, Pamela Bellwood, Phyllis Davis, Jeanette Nolan, Morgan Brittany, Donny Osmond, Lisa Whelchel, Joan Collins, Howard Duff, and Susan Kellermann (1982).
It was in 1980 that she took on the role of Terri in "Three's Company" and participated in 72 episodes until 1984. She co-starred with John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt who played her roommates. During this time she also appeared in 5 episodes of "The Love Boat" starring Gavin MacLeod, Lauren Tewes, Bernie Kopell, Fred Grandy, Jill Whelan, and Ted Lange.

After "Three's Company", she appeared in many TV shows and movies such as "Murder, She Wrote", "Blacke's Magic" starring Hal Linden, R.J.
