It was immediately after that she began playing the role of Janet in "Three's Company" co-starring John Ritter, Suzanne Somers and Priscilla Barnes in later episodes after Somers left the show. Also included were supporting cast members Don Knotts (Ralph Furley), Audra Lindley (Helen Roper), and Norman Fell (Stanley Roper). The latter two would later form a spin-off series called "The Ropers".
During the run of "Three's Company" from 1976 to 1984, Joyce also appeared in other shows and movies such as With This Ring co-starring Tony Bill, Don Most, Tom Bosley, Diana Canova, Barbara Cason, Scott Hylands, Betty White, Dick Van Patten, and John Forsythe (1978), "Supertrain", "The Love Boat" starring Gavin MacLeod, Lauren Tewes, Bernie Kopell, Fred Grandy, Jill Whelan, and Ted Lange; "Steve Martin: Comedy is not Pretty", "Airplane II: The Sequel" and "Finder of Lost Loves".

After a ten year absence from the acting scene, Joyce starred in the TV movie "Spring Fling!" in 1995. Then five years later she appeared in an episode of "Hope Island" and in the following year she starred in the movie "18". In 2003 she appeared in "The Nick at Nite Holiday Special".
Another seven years passed by before she starred in the film "Call of the Wild" in 2009, then again in "Failing Better Now" in 2010.
With two movies in production for 2011 including "The Great Flight" and the voice of the mom gorilla in "Stork", we will most likely be seeing and hearing more of Joyce in the future!
