The Dukes of Hazzard original TV Cast

The Dukes of Hazzard was a show that aired on Friday nights from 1979 to 1985.   It was hated by most critics, but young teen and pre-teen boys loved the high action, car chases, car jumps, crashes, explosions, and not to forget Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach) in her cutt-off shorts and halter top.  Young girls liked to watch and ogle over Bo and Luke Duke (John Schneider and Tom Wopat) as well.

Each year in Tennessee there is a "Duke Fest" to honor the show and the cast members.  Thousands gather to meet the surviving cast members, see some memorabilia from the movie, a collection of many "General Lee"s, and much more.
Country music singer Waylon Jennings sang the theme song from the show, titled "Good Ole' Boys".  You saw his hands playing the guitar in the opening while the theme played.

Waylon passed away in February 2002.

Good friend of Waylon's and fellow country music singer Willie Nelson played "Uncle Jessie" in the movie remake of "The Dukes of Hazzard" in 2005.  The remake also starred Johnny Knoxville as Luke, Sean William Scott as Bo, and Jessica Simpson as Daisy.
