Kevin from The Wonder Years actor Fred Savage

Fred Savage, made famous as the star of the hit TV show The Wonder Years that ran from 1988 to 1993.  He was the youngest actor ever at the age of 13 to be nominated for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series.

Fred began his acting career in the series Morningstar/Eveningstar co-starring Sherry Hursey, Darrell Larson, Kate Reid, Elizabeth Wilson, Scatman Crothers, Mason Adams, Tammy Lauren, and Joaquin Phoenix (1986).  He then starred in movies such as The Boy Who Could Fly with Lucy Deakins, Jay Underwood, Bonnie Bedelia, and Fred Gwynne (1986), Crime Story with Dennis Farina, Anthony John Denison and Bill Smitrovich (1986),  Convicted: A Mother's Story starring Ann Jillian, Gloria Loring and Kiel Martin (1987), The Princess Bride co-starring Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Robin Wright, Christopher Guest, André the Giant, Peter Falk, and Billy Crystal (1987),  Vice Versa co-starring Judge Reinhold, Corinne Bohrer, and Swoosie Kurtz (1988), and Run Till You Fall with Jamie Farr, Shelley Fabares, and Beatrice Straight (1988).

It was in 1988 that Fred got the role of Kevin Arnold in the TV show The Wonder Years about a young boy's experiences from adolescence to his teen years.  The show co-starred  Dan Lauria (Jack Arnold), Jason Hervey (Wayne Arnold), Alley Mills (Norma Arnold), Josh Saviano (Paul), Danica McKellar (Winnie), Olivia d'Abo (Karen Arnold) and was narrated by Daniel Stern.

During the The Wonder Years, Fred starred in other film and TV roles such as Little Monsters Howie Mandel, Daniel Stern, Frank Whaley, and Ben Savage (1989), The Wizard co-starring Luke Edwards, Jenny Lewis, Wendy Phillips, Beau Bridges, Christian Slater (1989), When You Remember Me co-starring Kevin Spacey, Ellen Burstyn, and Richard Jenkins (1990), and Christmas on Division Street co-starring Hume Cronyn and Badja Djola (1991).

After the The Wonder Years, Fred starred in No One Would Tell with Candace Cameron Bure, Gregory Alan Williams, Heather McComb, Justina Machado, and Michelle Phillips (1996).

In 1997, Fred won the role of Matt Peyser in the TV show Working co-starring Maurice Godin, Yvette Freeman, Arden Myrin, and Sarah Knowlton.  Former Wonder Years co-star Danica McKellar reunited when she guest starred on his show at one point. Savage played the role until the show ended in 1999.   Through the Working years run, Fred himself guest starred in the show Boy Meets World starring his little brother Ben Savage, Rider Strong and Danielle Fishel.


Fred also starred in Austin Powers in Goldmember co-starring Mike Myers, Beyoncé Knowles, Seth Green, Michael York, Robert Wagner, Mindy Sterling, Verne Troyer, and Michael Caine (2002), The Rules of Attraction with James Van Der Beek, Ian Somerhalder and Shannyn Sossamon, Jessica Biel, Kate Bosworth, Swoosie Kurtz, Clare Kramer, and Faye Dunaway (2002), and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit starring Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni, Tamara Tunie and Richard Belzer (2003).


In 2004, Fred starred in several movies including The Last Run Amy Adams, Steven Pasquale, Andrea Bogart, and Erinn Bartlett.  That same year he also starred in Welcome to Mooseport with Gene Hackman, Ray Romano, Marcia Gay Harden, Christine Baranski, Maura Tierney, and Rip Torn.

Fred starred in the TV comedy Crumbs in 2006 with Jane Curtin, Maggie Lawson, and William Devane.  That same year, Savage starred in the comedy film Single White Millionaire with Brooke D'Orsay, Zach Mills, and Jenni Cardone.

Over the years Fred has done many voice over characters including Kim Possible, The Christmas That Almost Didn't HappenFamily Guy, and Generator Rex.  

Fred also appeared on an episode of Law and Order.  Most of his efforts are put into directing these days.  His directing credits include That's So Raven, Hanna Montana, Drake and Josh, Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Party Down, Blue Mountain State, and Perfect Couples.
