Peter Billingsley who starred as Ralphie in A Christmas Story

Peter Billingsley is the cute little kid who starred as 'Ralphie' in the classic holiday movie A Christmas Story.  He also starred in over 100 television commercials.  The most famous one was a Hershey's Chocolate commercial where he appeared with a chocolate covered face.

Peter got his start in 1978 appearing in the film If Ever I See You Again starring Joseph Brooks, Shelley Hack and Jimmy Breslin.  He then starred in films and shows such as Honky Tonk Freeway co-starring David Rasche, Paul Jabara, Howard Hesseman, Teri Garr, Beau Bridges, and Beverly D'Angelo (1981), and Paternity starring Burt Reynolds, Beverly D'Angelo, Norman Fell, and Lauren Hutton (1981).

It was in 1983 that he performed his trademark role as 'Ralphie' Parker in A Christmas Story co-starring Melinda Dillon (Mrs. Parker), Darren McGavin (Mr. Parker), Ian Petrella (Randy Parker), Scott Schwartz (Flick), and Zack Ward (Farkus).  The story involved Ralphie's quest to get a Red Rider BB gun for Christmas which usually ended up having Ralphie being told... "You'll shoot your eye out kid".

Billingsley had an uncredited role in the movie Elf starring Will Ferrell, Zooey Deschanel, Edward Asner, James Caan, Bob Newhart, Mary Steenburgen, and Amy Sedaris (2003).

Billingsley won an Emmy award in 2005 for being co-executive producer on the TV show Dinner for Five.

His most recent acting credits include The Break-Up starring Jennifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn, Joey Lauren Adams, Jon Favreau, Cole Hauser, Jason Bateman, and Ann-Margret (2006).

Now, Peter is a movie producer.  He still plays small roles and cameos in some of his movies.  Most recently producing the Iron Man movie.  He also played the character Willliam Ginter Riva co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, Terrence Howard, Jon Favreau, and Leslie Bibb.  In 2008 he also appeared in the movie Four Christmases starring Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn, Mary Steenburgen, Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, Jon Voight, Jon Favreau, Kristin Chenoweth, Dwight Yoakam, Tim McGraw, and Katy Mixon (2008).

In 2009 Billingsley directed Couples Retreat which starred Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Faizon Love, Vince Vaughn, Jon Favreau, Malin Akerman, Kristin Davis, Kali Hawk, and Jean Reno (2009).
